On SK Chamber Band’s first album, Simple Gifts (2015), the music was drawn from our intimate ThemeScene salons. We have happily continued to offer these salons, exploring a chosen theme through poetry, spoken word, wide-ranging music and song, and improvisation.
Much of the music on this album evolved out of several incarnations of our salon, AWAKENING ~ Spring & Otherwise

I am ever grateful for the stimulating and joyful collaboration with these very fine musical colleagues of mine: Rich Eames (often our arranger as well), Rob Lockart, Scott Breadman and Luis Mascaro.
For this recording, the band recorded live in a shared space, hoping to manifest our "music in the parlor" vibe. We’re pleased with the result, and hope you are too!
